Mike Tomei is an Associate Principal at NV5 Technology & Acoustics in upstate New York (Ithaca), bringing over two decades of expertise in the audiovisual technology design industry. Throughout his career, Mike has focused on delivering innovative technology solutions for higher education and corporate environments. He has held full-time roles in Harvard University's and Ithaca College's classroom design & support departments, and has also operated his own consulting firm (Tomei AV Consulting), specializing in technology design, project management, and strategic planning.

A recognized thought leader in the field, Mike has presented at AVIXA, ETC, and HETMA conferences, contributed articles to Campus Technology Magazine and other industry publications, and appeared as a guest on multiple industry podcasts. In 2015, he was honored on Commercial Integrator’s “40 Influencers Under 40” list.

Mike holds numerous industry certifications, including AVIXA CTS-D and CTS-I. His work combines a passion for innovative technology design with a focus on practical solutions that enhance learning and organizational outcomes.
